Gummy, FIESTAR’s Yezi, VIXX’s Songs Banned By KBS, Kpop Tunes Deemed Unfit For Broadcast
The South Korean network KBS recently added three new songs to its banned for broadcast list. Gummy's new track, including FIESTAR's Yezi and VIXX's latest Kpop songs were deemed unfit to be performed or aired in any of the said network's programs.
KBS has been known to put restrictions on the kind of music that will be featured in its variety shows. Following strict broadcast regulations, the network has even refused the performances of various tracks it found unfit even if it came from famous Kpop groups or musicians. Recently, the KBS added Gummy's pre-released track "A Knowing" on its banned list including "Anck Su Namum" sung by FIESTAR's Yezi and VIXX's "Black Out," All Kpop reported.
FIESTAR's Yezi's solo track did not pass KBS' broadcast inspection given the use of curse words and other derogatory terms in the said song's lyrics. The song "Blackout" was also put on the banned for broadcast list due to lyrics that expressed the intimate relations between a man and woman. The said VIXX's track is one of the songs included in the Kpop band's mini-album titled "Shangri-La."
Meanwhile, Gummy's new song "A Knowing" was also deemed unfit for broadcast by KBS. Given the brand names included in the songstress' pre-released track, the Leesang's Gil produced song was banned from the said network. Other tracks that made it to KBS' infamous list includes two songs from LOCO's new album "Bleached."
In other news, Gummy was recently rumored to have broken up with her long-time celebrity boyfriend Jo Jung Suk. Many reports indicated that the singer might have included a break-up message in her pre-released track. However, the songstress' representatives dispelled the break-up speculations and told Korean news outlet OSEN that the musician and the "Jealousy Incarnate" star are still together and that the said song has nothing to do with the actor.
Gummy is known for lending her vocals to various drama soundtracks such as "Love in the Moonlight" and "Descendants of the Sun." The singer is set to release her new album on June 5.
