‘My Secret Romance’ News & Update: Sung Hoon Starrer Beats ‘Ruler: Master Of The Mask’ In Popular Asian Series Chart
"My Secret Romance" may be nearing the end of its broadcast run, however, the romantic comedy series continues to be the most popular Asian series on the video streaming site Drama Fever. Recently, Sung Hoon's drama bested the highly-rated MBC series "Ruler: Master of the Mask."
OCN's first foray into the romantic comedy genre is proving to be a good bet given its popularity among Kdrama lovers. "My Secret Romance" topped Drama Fever's weekly Asian series chart for the fourth time in a row, according to a chart listing posted on the Warner Bros. owned video streaming site.
The Sung Hoon starrer consistently nabbed the first spot on the said chart given the amazing chemistry between its lead stars. Following "My Secret Romance" is the SBS variety program "Running Man" that jumped from fifth place to land at number two. "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" came in at third place, with the Chinese series "Surgeons," "The Liar and His Lover" and "Goblin" at fourth to sixth places, respectively.
Meanwhile, one of the expected strong contenders to rival the popularity of "My Secret Romance" would be the historical series "Ruler: Master of the Mask." However, the said drama slipped from its previous week's fourth place to nab the seventh spot on Drama Fever's latest popular Asian series chart. At eight place is the recently concluded series "Tunnel," followed by "Suspicious Partner" and "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People."
In other news, "My Secret Romance" has been delighting avid viewers with the romantic love story between protagonists Jin Wook and Yoo Mi. Portrayed by Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun, respectively, latest behind-the-scenes images released by OCN, as obtained by Soompi, showcased the two co-stars' close camaraderie with each other.
The said photo stills displayed the playful antics between Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun on the set of "My Secret Romance." A source from the OCN drama even gushed over the two celebrities' chemistry with each other and the fun working atmosphere on set.
