Kobe Bryant was given a day off from Los Angeles Lakers' practice Monday; the NBA player was "really angry" with himself after Lakers lost their third consecutive game, according to ESPN.

"I said, just stay away from the gym today," Coach Byron Scott said after the team's practice. "Just spend some time with your kids and family and get basketball off your mind for 24 hours if you can -- which I don't think he can -- and then come in tomorrow fresh and we'll go from there."

Bryant scored 15 points in 31 minutes but missed 12 of 15 shots during Sunday's game; which the Lakers lost to the Dallas Mavericks. "I just can't make a shot." Kobe said.

With a 103-93 loss to the Mavericks, the Lakers dropped 0-3 on the 2015 to 2016 season, revealed bleacher report.

Fans say that's not the Kobe Bryant they are used to seeing. The 37 year old guard is just 31.4 percent from the field and 20.7 percent from the three-point range in all three games.

Last season, the Lakers lost their first five games and ended with their worst record of 21-61; and for the first time in franchise history, the team has started 0-3 in chronological seasons, reports USA Today.

"We're going to keep feeding him. He's in the gym 24-7. It's not that he's not putting in the work," rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell said. "It's just the basketball gods aren't blessing him right now with making shots. But they'll fall. Then we won't be having this conversation."

Kobe Bryant missed most of the past two seasons due to injuries, according to sources.

Coach Byron was asked if Kobe would rest and sit some games out, he said he did not know just yet.

"I haven't really looked at the schedule for those rest games," replied Scott. "I'm just taking it one game at a time right now."
