'Star Wars' News: Photos Leaked From 'Han Solo' Set But Chewbacca Is Nowhere To Be Found

The Han Solo movie has already begun filming for the prequel telling the story of the early days of one of the most iconic figures in the "Star Wars" franchise. Some photos from the set have been leaked showing lead star Alden Ehrenreich in costume looking a little worse for wear suggesting a ton of action in the new Star Wars installment.

According to a report by TMZ, Ehrenreich was spotted on the "Star Wars" Han Solo set sporting a tattered black and gray attire with a black overcoat. The star was looking like he just came out of a fight, or a car chase but there were no signs of Chewbacca in sight, something long-time fans of the franchise have been anticipating since the film's announcement.

It is speculated that the standalone installment to the "Star Wars" franchise will delve into the story of how Han Solo met Chewbacca, his best friend and constant companion throughout the entire run of the series. The Han Solo and Chewy bromance have been one of the most successful and original inter-species partnerships in the face of Sci-Fi.

Aside from Alden Ehrenreich, the yet untitled Han Solo movie will also feature "Game of Thrones"' Emilia Clarke, "Mission Impossible's" Thandie Newton, "Hunger Games'" and "True Detectives'" Woody Harrelson and Donald Glover. The "Star Wars" anthology film is expected to premiere in Spring 2018.

Meanwhile, while the possibility of Chewbacca's appearance seems inevitable, another item identified with Han Solo may not. It seems that the intergalactic smuggler may be using a different ship than the iconic Millenium Falcon in the new "Star Wars" installment.

According to a report from Cinema Blend, the young Han Solo may be seen at the beginning of the movie using a beat up clunker that is a far cry from his Millenium Falcon. It is expected, however, that the story of the "Star Wars" Han Solo film will eventually get around to showing how he got his ship and how he eventually found his way to the rebellion.
