‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update

The "Pokemon Go" promo this week sheds light on which rare Pokemon fans will likely encounter as well as the mystery behind the game's most coveted item. This week's event will surely be a treat for prehistoric and rock-type Pokemon lovers.

According to Uproxx, there will be an increased rate in Pokemon spawns for a set of rock-type monsters. The increased Pokemon encounter rate includes Omanyte, Kabuto, Onix, Sudowoodo, and Aerodactyl. In addition to the Pokemon encounter rate, there will also be freebies such as the new wardrobe item called the Adventurer's Hat.

Players will also be getting bonus candies for walking about a quarter more of the usual distance. The "Pokemon Go' promo lasts from May 18 until May 25, so players will have a week to find all the rare Pokemon and freebies the event has to offer.

While it's good that the developers at Niantic are encouraging outdoor adventures, it's tiring for players to find certain items especially when they are particularly difficult to come across. The item in question is the recently released Gen 2 evolution items from the last "Pokemon Go" promo. Such items are so scarce that it's almost impossible for some players to find these at all.

According to Forbes, there are some theories circulating, about why these items are so hard to obtain. One theory hints that some Pokestops carry more of these elusive items while others might not be carrying any at all. Another theory hints at the time as a factor in the evolution item's spawn rate, where some times of the day have higher chances of giving the item than others.

Although these are merely theories but it might just work for some or perhaps give other players certain advantages over the rest. Regardless, the mystery behind this "Pokemon Go" item only delves as deep as its abysmal 0.1% to 0.4% chance of appearing. Perhaps a future "Pokemon Go" promo could significantly increase the rate of evolution items to appear as often as candy's from the recent event, so who knows.
