Recent Xbox Live status update shows that Microsoft's popular gaming service doesn't just earn more than PSN, but it's also bigger than any other gaming network. Microsoft's gaming network is starting to become the go-to place for playing games and for watching games as well.

According to DS, CEO Satya Nadella shared the recent Xbox Live status update from a financial point of view. Nadella was confident enough to say that Xbox Live is indeed becoming the biggest network in all of gaming.

The Microsoft CEO mentioned that the Xbox Live service monetizes more than PSN or any other gaming networks, and it does so by a large margin too. Nadella reveals that the current Xbox Live status is more than just playing games, it's also about watching and streaming.

Nadella pointed out how big the Xbox Live service is growing, with the acquisition of the interactive Livestreaming service Beam as well as the introduction of the new Xbox Game Pass. With that said, the Microsoft executive is stressing that the Xbox Live status right now is expanding way beyond gaming.

Nadella's statements during the Microsoft Financial Analyst briefing 2017 might be taken as merely bold claims. However, given how widely-popular Microsoft's subscription-based service is, it's easy to tell how much they're making from their Xbox Live service due to their myriad of business models over the years.

Let's not forget that Microsoft's Xbox branding even extends to their PC counterpart, the Windows 10. While the Windows 10 platform handles games differently from their dedicated Xbox One console brethren, it won't be long before the two eventually merge.

In fact, recent reports are suggesting that Microsoft is already starting to integrate their dedicated console to desktop PCs. According to Fortune, Microsoft is trying to utilize keyboards as a means to control the Xbox One console in the future. Though it's not directly connected to the Windows-based PC counterpart, it's the first step in merging their two most popular platforms into one giant hub for gaming.
