Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Shi Hyuk Proud at BTS’ Success
Big Hit Entertainment director Bang Shi Hyuk states his surprise and impressions about the growing fame of the Korean boy band BTS, as well as its successful Wings Tour this year. The CEO gladly shares his thoughts about the boy band in an interview.
According to Soompi, Bang Shi Hyuk said in an interview that it is difficult to know the amount of love and fans BTS has been receiving lately worldwide. He also said that he has many concerns about future of BTS since it is growing more famous at a fast rate.
"However, the top priority for the group is producing better music so they can bring greater joy to fans all over the world," the director added. BTS is presently having their Wings Tour around the world and had just finished one of their concerts in Manila, Philippines last Saturday.
Director Hyuk also stated that he first wanted to make BTS a hip hop group because of Rap Monster. He then discovered Min Yoongi, then the others such as Kim Tae Hyung and Jung Hoseok so he said that he wants each member to show their different styles of performing.
Hyuk also stated that he did not know that BTS would come this far when they first debuted. He said that their goal back then was to be a good group that doesn't fall behind compared to other groups and becomes one of Korea's top Kpop group.
In another report by SBS PopAsia, BTS just cemented their status as the best fan serving idols. The idol group presented Filipino ARMYs with a nice BTS as in behind the scene of the concert's rehearsal.
Jimin recorded BTS's "Dope" rehearsal while the lucky ARMYs scream and cheer for him. This video was actually the last present the boy group gave for their "WINGS" Day 2 concert in the Philippines.
