Sung Hoon, Song Ji Eun’s ‘My Secret Romance’ Tops Drama Fever's Weekly Asian Series Chart
"My Secret Romance" has been delighting avid Kdrama fans given the strong onscreen chemistry between its lead stars Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun. Recently, the OCN romantic comedy series nabbed the top spot on a Weekly Asian Series chart.
Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun's drama recently reached an impressive milestone on the online streaming site Drama Fever. "My Secret Romance" climbed to the top of the said streaming site's Weekly Asian Series list, a chart that ranks the popular shows on the Warner Bros. owned website. The said series even bested the hit drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" and "The Liar and His Lover."
For the first week of May, "My Secret Romance" bumped "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" from its number one spot, according to the latest chart listing posted on the Drama Fever website. The Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik romantic comedy series landed at second place, while the tvN drama "The Liar and His Lover" came in at third place. The SBS variety show "Running Man" nabbed the fourth spot, followed by the 2014 drama "Marriage Not Dating" at fifth place.
Meanwhile, "My Secret Romance" has become a favorite among South Korean drama lovers. The Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun starrer also marked the first time that Warner Bros. invested in a Kdrama, according to Yonhap. Apart from new episodes being released on OCN, the drama is also being broadcast simultaneously outside of the said Asian country through Drama Fever.
"My Secret Romance" tells the story of two strangers who met at a resort and had a one night stand together. Three years after the incident, their paths crossed again and romance started to bloom between the one-time lovers. In the said drama, "Oh My Venus" actor Sung Hoon portrays the lead character Jin Wook, while Song Ji Eun plays his love interest Yoo Mi.
