AMD Vega will be facing a hard competition from Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in the high-end gaming market.

AMD is expected to be released imminent Vega GPU within this month or the next month, AMD has made the confirmation on the company's social media page for the release of Radeon RX Vega launch in this quarter. However, recent reports and benchmarks show that AMD Vega will be facing a hard competition from Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in the high-end gaming market.

There is unconfirmed AMD Vega benchmarks test revealed that shows AMD Vega is much slower than Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and Nvidia Titan XP. This has drawn lots of attention as the upcoming GPU is expected to be the high-end GPU architecture which will rival Nvidia.

Unluckily, the past few leaks are showing mostly negative results that show something different about the upcoming Vega GPU. AMD Radeon RX Vega is losing the technological arms race with rival Nvidia, as reported by SegmentNext.

The latest AMD Vega Benchmarks put the GPU's score at 5721 that said to be much lower than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 at 7152 points. On the other side, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti has got a score of 9521 points, while the Nvidia Titan XP has got a score of 9595 points. Both Nvidia scores are higher than upcoming AMD Vega.

The Sunnyvale-based is expected to launch AMD Vega this quarter since the big tech event Computex. The AMD Vega will be the AMD's ultimate weapon of choice in its life and death struggle with Nvidia for ascendancy in the highly profitable GPU market.

AMD Radeon RX Vega is said to be made for one big purpose that is to take on Nvidia's GTX 1080 Ti. Apparently, there are some reports which claimed that the AMD Vega will be on par with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti's performance. Fortunately, AMD has one big edge in this upcoming face-off that is the price. The AMD Vega is said to be cheap just like its AMD Ryzen sibling, according to Tweak Town.

However, latest reports and leaks reveal that upcoming AMD Vega is reportedly 5 percent slower than Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. The gaming chip sees a 27 percent slower compared to its closest rival Nvidia GeForce 1080 Ti. The claims are based on the recently released GPU database's performance chart by TechPowerUp.
