Electronic Arts Debuts New Games Ahead Of The E3 Expo

"Mirror's Edge: Catalyst" will now be delayed said the game publisher in a statement to make further development, according to PC Gamer.

The game was an ambitious project made by the game developer DICE as a sequel for the popular "Mirror's Edge". A lot of fans were happy that the sequel is finally in development and was announced for release on Feb. 23, 2016.

Since then, news of new developments was shown regularly to keep the fans updated. The game publisher did warn the fans that they will not hesitate to delay the game release to make further improvements.

Today, Electronic Arts, the game publisher, has officially announced that the game's release date will be changed. It will now be released on May 24 instead of Feb. 23, according to IGN.

"We're building the most immersive action-adventure game with fluid movement and combat in first person," said Sara Jansson, senior producer of Elecrtonic Arts. "Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be an all-new playground with a deeper and more engaging story-and we want to accomplish all these goals to the highest quality possible."

"We will use these few extra months to make sure that when you step into the massive City of Glass and experience the rise of Faith, it's as entertaining, impressive, and memorable as it can be," she added.

This move also has an advantage, according to Polygon. The previous date that was announced had other games too like "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" and "Far Cry Primal".

The move is also to develop further the gameplay since the game will have a larger scope. The game will have a vast city to explore and the story will be more engaging compared to the first game which is "Mirror's Edge."

On the other hand, "Mirror's Edge: Catalyst" will be "larger and better," according to sources.
