Beforehand, Motorola has sent out soak test invites in the US for the Moto X Pure Edition update to Android 7.0 Nougat. And now finally, it seems that the Motorola is rolling out that Nougat update to all owners of the 2015 phone.

Motorola has recently posted a new Android 7.0 Nougat support page for Moto X Pure Edition owners. While on the support page there is nothing has listed which is new or unique regarding this new update, however, it does give owners of the Moto X Pure Edition a good summary of all of the major features that are included with Nougat.

The latest support page does not offer any information on the Android 7.0 Nougat update's file download size, but it is likely that it will be pretty large, so Moto X Pure Edition users should have to use a Wi-Fi connection to download it. Also, it may take a few days for the latest update to reach all of the phones. Moto X Pure Edition Owners should also keep in mind that this is the name of the phone in the US; in other parts of the world, it's considered as the Moto X Style, as reported by Android Authority.

Owners of Moto X Pure Edition will get an update notification in due course. You can also manually check for the new Android 7.0 Nougat update by going to Settings > About phone > System updates.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update to Moto X Pure Edition brings the New Moto Actions and the new features and capabilities that are part of Android 7.0 Nougat. Some of the features include the multi-window view, which allows viewing two apps side-by-side. The feature which shuts down apps when the handset is inactive will now do its thing even when users are on the go. This latest update also extends the battery life of Moto X Pure handset, as per Phone Arena.

Other features include Data Saver, which avoids apps running in the background from consuming data. With Android 7.0 Nougat, the user can directly reply to messages from the Notifications feed.
