Lee Min Ho News: 'Legend Of The Blue Sea' Actor Is Thankful For HIs 20s But Is Sad To Be Getting Older
Rather than be sad about his upcoming military enlistment, "Legend of the Blue Sea" actor said that he is sadder about the fact that he is becoming 30 and getting old. The actor, who recently received his enlistment date said that he is entering mandatory with mixed feelings.
Lee Min Ho said to Hello Kpop that at first, he said that he would just be cool and indifferent about enlisting. "I think it is more about my passing 20s rather than about enlistment itself. I feel sad about becoming 30s and getting old."
Lee Min Ho shared that he has no regrets about the way things turned out. By not entering the military early, he was able to star in hit dramas like "Boys Over Flowers" which gave him the break he needed to get into the big leagues. He followed it up with equally successful franchises like "City Hunter", "Faith" and "The Heirs." His recent comeback drama "Legend of the Blue Sea" opposite Jun Ji Hyun also peaked at 20 percent ratings in Korea, a rare feat for any drama.
Lee Min Ho said that he was thankful for his 20s because it enabled him to contribute to the global Hallyu wave. Aside from his successful dramas, his film "Bounty Hunters" was also screened at the Cannes Festival.
Lee Min Ho recently received his official enlistment date from the Military Manpower Administration, the agency in charge of processing celebrity enlistments, based on a recent order by the government. The actor will be deployed as a social service worker in Gangnam instead of conscripted service, Soompi reported.
It can be recalled that Lee Min Ho suffered a severe injury on his leg when he figured in a serious car accident along with his best friend Jung Il Woo in 2006. Lee Min Ho had to have a metal rod inserted into his leg because of the injury. He is expected to report for mandatory service starting May 12.
