The official spoilers for "The Flash" Season 3, Episode 19, Barry heads into the future to know why things happened in the present. Abra Kadabra did not reveal Savitar's identity and the only way Barry can save Iris from getting killed by Savitar is by traveling into the future.
He travels to 2024, noted TVLine, in order to find answers. However, Barry finds his future self who is shocked after Iris's death. Grant Gustin, who plays Barry, told TVLine that future Barry is someone who has lost everything.

The actor said that Barry of the future is "about eight years older, which in a way made it more challenging for me, because it wasn't like, 'This is my grizzled, older self.'" "They were some of the more challenging scenes I've done - if not just this year, in the whole series, because I'm my own scene partner," he added.
