The "Amazing Spider-Man" co-stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are officially over after four years of dating together, according to a source reported on USA Today.

The couple has been surrounded by break-up rumors since last year because of their hectic schedules that requires them to travel separately abroad for film shootings. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield took a brief break from their relationship on April. They both had a hard time being in a long-distance relationship where Andrew Garfield went to Taiwan for the "Silence" movie shooting while Emma Stone was busy filming for "La La Land" with Ryan Gosling in Los Angeles.

The couple decided to break it off for good but remained good friends. "They still have a lot of love for one another and they are on good terms with each another and remain close," according to a source as reported on Us Weekly.

"There was no drama, they've been apart while working. They still care about each other." A source close to the couple revealed that they broke up few months ago, according to People.

Regardless of the report cited above, some fans have still been circulating rumors that there might be cheating involved which caused the two to break up. No concrete evidence have been cited to support this claim, however.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield met at "The Amazing Spider-Man" set in 2011 who played the role of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, according to USA Today.

Emma Stone was previously interviewed about what happened on April and said, "I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason - because it's all so speculative and baseless." The actress said that it never felt good for her to talk about the topic when it's so special and eventually remained not to talk about it, according to Mirror.

During a September interview with Andrew Garfield who was about to fly off to Australia for the "Hacksaw Ridge" movie said that, "I am not OK," and he added, "That feels really good to say to you. I'm really not all right. I'm in the struggle of being a person. I haven't got anything figured out," according to USA Today.

No comments from both sides have been said, according to People
