Although the new device is reported to feature a lot of firsts for Apple, some reports suggest that iPhone 8 may also be the first iPhone model in the company's history to have SIM cards.
iPhone 8, meantime, is expected to come with a price tag of over $1000. Incidentally, some reports claim that Apple is currently working on a new iPhone that features a 5.8-inch OLED display panel that costs over the same amount, while other variants including the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will not have the new panels.
However, this was debunked by a UBS analyst, saying that only the 256GB storage version of the iPhone 8 will likely be available at about $950 to $1000. Meanwhile, rumors claim that the new iPhone will not be released in September due to some technical issues related to lamination process of curved OLED panels and the implementation of a 3D sensing system, WVTM13 reported.
