‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ Update: Guerilla Games Discuss Potential Sequel, Saying More Machines Should Be Added To The Game
"Horizon Zero Dawn" gets excellent feedback and reviews from the players all over the world since it was released. In the recent news, although it is still not officially announced, the Guerilla Games discussed their plans if there will be a sequel to the popular latest game.
In the May issue of the magazine called Game Informer, Guerilla Games spoke about what the future of the "Horizon Zero Dawn" game will be. The game was released on February 28, 2017, and although it has not so wider market by being exclusive only for PlayStation console, it's already sold more than 2.6 Million copies worldwide and it gains a lot of stunning praise, making the game developer push to think of a possible sequel.
Gaming Bolt stated that the heads of the Guerilla Games had different ideas and plans for the potential sequel of the "Horizon Zero Dawn." According to John Gonzalez, the game Narrative Director, if the studio will plan to make a sequel, he would focus on the connection the players established to Aloy, the game's protagonist.
"We've been absolutely humbled by the players' response to the story and their emotional connection to the game protagonist." Gonzalez said. "Should a Horizon Zero Dawn sequel happen; the number one goal would be to respect that connection by doing our utmost to create a story that resonates just as deeply."
The Game Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek had different ideas for the certain aspect of the "Horizon Zero Dawn" potential sequel. According to him, he wants to add more machines in the game, machines are very fun to design, build, animate, and play with it.
On the other hand, the Game Director Mathijs de Jonge discussed a critical response to the "Horizon Zero Dawn." Indeed, he's happy with the results, feedback and the praise from the fans, he is still looking into the criticisms as well. As he said, they are looking closely at any critiques as part of plotting out their plans for the future of the game.
