According to a report from TV Line, "Bates Motel" season 5 episode 8 spoilers is set to show Norman (played by Freddie Highmore) in his yet another crazy state. He will try his best to clear his name even though a lot of people already thinks he did the murders in the community. Another thing, since he is well aware that he was the one who killed Madeleine (Isabelle McNally) and not his mother, this makes a lot more difficult to him to cover his lies. However, as per the preview suggests, he will get help from his mother.

As per the aforementioned source report, "Bates Motel" season 5 episode 8 spoilers leads the viewers to another dark side of Norman in an attempt to look innocent in the eyes of the people around him. With the assistant of his mother, "he will throw someone close to him under the bus" in the attempt of clearing his name. Adding on, the first 30 minutes of the upcoming episode will be focused on Farmiga's character. She is set to get "a lot more screen time in these final episodes".

Meanwhile, based on International Business Times, speaking of Norman's plan, theory has it that in "Bates Motel" season 5 episode 8 spoilers, he might use Madeleine as his cover up. It is a well-known fact that after Norma's death, Madeleine becomes his close friend, he also feels some affection to the latter. However, Madeleine seems not interested in Norman's feelings which could lead to the latter's plan of using her as his best alibi since Sam and she had a terrible fight before the latter's death.
