‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2’ Update: Sylvester Stallone’s Character Might Be Stakar Ogord
A lot of big stars are joining the cast of the Marvel's upcoming movie, the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." One of these stars is Sylvester Stallone, however, his role has been shrouded in mystery ever since he joined the cast.
Now, a recent report said that Sylvester Stallone is playing the character of Stakar Ogord, also known as Starhalk. The report was shared by MoviesBookIT on their official Twitter account.
According to Comic Book, in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" related comics, Stakar is known by the name Starhawk, and he is a major player in the franchise. The cosmic being led to the formation of the Guardians in the 31st century, and Stakar is the son of heroes Quasar and Kismet. He is a former member of the Reavers of Arcturus, and also known as a sort of antihero who teamed up with his sister Aleta Ogord.
As of now, Marvel still hasn't yet confirmed the report pointing out what character Sylvester Stallone will play in the "Guardians of the Galaxy." However, as the Screen Rant stated on their report, while the legitimacy of this release can be rightfully questioned, the information seems to be true. And with the comics' information and the press release combined, it makes a strong case that Stallone is really going to be playing the role.
Other stars we will see in the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" are, Pom Klementieff, Kurt Russell, Bradley Cooper, Nathan Fillion, Benicio del Toro and more. Speaking of Benicio del Toro, the actor recently confirmed in another upcoming movie, the "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi." For now, there's still no official confirmation what del Toro would play in the new Star Wars movie, but rumors suggest that will portray a live-action version of Rebels villain Grand Admiral Thrawn or Boba Fett's son.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2" will premiere on May 5, 2017. It is the first movie in the MCU 2017 line-up.
