North Korea continues to be more defiant and aggravating than ever as confirmed reports suggest that the solitary state has launched a medium-ranged missile that eventually plunged into the Sea of Japan. This a day before the meetup between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese Head of State Xi Jinping.

The missile - which many analysts speculate to be a KN-15 mid-ranger, reached a distance of 60 kilometers and is believed to be fired nearby the City of Sinpo. The port city is also rumored to be one of North Korea's nuclear submarine bases, according to CNN.

Prior to Pyongyang's recent show of defiance and provocation, the said issue will most definitely be in the spotlight to be tackled head on by both Trump and Xi as it is expected that the West will put pressure on China to slam serious sanctions towards Kim Jong-un's ever growing nuclear weapons development. It can be recalled that Trump was quoted recently stressing the capability of China to greatly influence its North Korean neighbor adding that it could cripple its economy in no time.

In a statement obtained by Reuters, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson stated that the U.S. has said enough about North Korea and refused to make further comments about it. Such statement has got analysts musing about what he meant. Some believe that Tillerson's statement could suggest that the U.S. will be tight-lipped moving forward and will let its armed forces do the talking, or would let China do the necessary steps in persuading North Korea to put a halt to its nuclear ambitions.

Meanwhile, both American and South Korean experts are in unison that North Korea still has a long way in perfecting a long-ranged missile system. Watch a video about Pyongyang's most recent act of defiance here:
