In the second part of "Vikings" Season 4, though Lagertha's (Katheryn Winnick) death was one of those anticipated by fans, it seems that the show's production has decided to still keep her alive. The situation seems to still hold true as hints point out that the female character is not going to die any sooner in season 5.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for "Vikings" Season 5. Readers are advised to read with caution. Proceed if you wish to know more.

Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) death did not only bring despair to his sons, but as the curtain fell for the show's former protagonist in "Vikings" season 4, his sons' vengeance grew stronger to the people they hold responsible for his death and Aslaug's (Alyssa Sutherland). Ivar the Boneless even warned the newly crowned queen that he will kill her to avenge her mother.

Meanwhile, Ragnar's other sons were able to infiltrate England and kill King Ecbert. As they triumph on taking over England, Lagertha celebrates for being crowned as the new ruler of Denmark. Because of her power, other entities are attempting to relieve her from her position by killing her.

Rumors became rife in "Vikings" season 4 that Lagertha is going to die within the second part. But when the season ended, Winnick's character remained in the series. If some "Vikings" devotees are looking forward to her death in season 5, it may not be good news for the as the character may still be staying for a while.

In an Instagram post by Winnick, the 39-year old actress revealed photos of her sitting in her new chair, and a photo of the script for "Vikings" season 5. It seems that the actress is challenging Ivar when she used a hashtag for her photo, "my ass is staying put Ivar."
