North Korea Responds To McCain's Remarks Describing It As Very Much The Same As Declaring War

Rockets are being launched as North Korean leader Kim Jong-un looks from afar.

Shots are definitely been fired at North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong-un as Arizona Senator John McCain called Kim a "crazy fat kid" in a recent interview. Such name calling has aggravated Pyongyang even more since the friction between the two countries have been heating up lately.

Speaking with MSNBC's Greta Van Susteren, McCain stated that China is the only nation that can control Kim adding that North Korea is being run by a "crazy fat kid." The senator went on saying that China can put North Korea's economy to a full stop in a week's time, though criticized the former for not doing any actions towards its misbehaving neighbor.

In response, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) via the Korean Central Agency, stated that what McCain said during the interview is a clear provocation to Kim and is very much the same as declaring war. Moreover, they pointed out that they consider the dignity of their supreme leader as the life and soul of the nation, according to New York Daily News.

In line with this, the statement also highlighted the country's nuclear capability and at the same time issued a warning for the nth time to their western critics saying that they are ready to defend the regime by "dealing a merciless sledgehammer blow" to their oppressors. However, McCain seemed to care less to such remarks.

It has been reported early on that North Korea is gearing up in conducting its sixth nuclear testing that rose concerns to other countries especially Japan and South Korea. Furthermore, the country also ran some rocket engine tests on Friday, March 24 that is believed to be part of the intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that the country is developing.

Gordon Chang - the author of the book "Nuclear Showdown: North Korea Takes on the World," said that such activity is a clear preparation of the country in finally putting up a functional ICBM. Chang also revealed that the DPRK currently has three missiles that are well capable of reaching U.S. soils namely KN04, KN08, and the Taepodong 2, Fox News reported.
