'For Honor' Character Getting Vetoed From Competitive Play; Gamers Deemed It As The Title's Steroid
"For Honor" players have reached a verdict. Fans of the game came up at a decision that the Peacekeeper (PK) will no longer be used in future game tournaments suggesting that the hero class is too quick and pretty much powerful.
The "For Honor" gaming community is getting tired and frustrated with the Peacekeeper whenever the character comes into play. Other players even felt that the title is no longer worth playing as most gamers tend to use the hero more often during multiplayer combat making it a ho-hum match.
As a result, a Major League Gaming (MLG) Forum user that goes by the moniker Clint44mag took a stand stating that no "For Honor" tournaments should be held if the Peacekeeper enters the fray. The user added that using the character mitigates the competitive spirit of the hack and slash title and therefore the hero should not be used.
Clint44mag even compared "For Honor's" Peacekeeper to steroids as he further explained that players who do not have the mentioned hero listed on their roster are at a disadvantage in winning the match. Hence, the only way to snag a win is rendering the services of the character, according to Eurogamer.
The said standoff has gained so much attention among the "For Honor" player base that he was even praised for doing such. Furthermore, the game's tournament supervisor donning the username TheShadow took notice of the protest and was quick enough in making a workaround for the concern.
TheShadow stated that they will be setting up "For Honor" online tourneys with the Peacekeeper vetoed from the match, Kotaku reported. Additionally, the game official will then see if the gaming community will be in favor of the said move and if such happens, then the character will be permanently banished from the game unless its game developer - Ubisoft nerfs the said character.
