‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,’ ‘Defendant’ Among Top Dramas With High Brand Reputation Levels

"Defendant" and "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" recently reached impressive brand reputation scores for the month of March. Ji Sung's legal drama nabbed the top spot on the said chart, while Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young's romantic comedy series landed at second place.

"Defendant" marked its finale week by topping the March brand reputation list for the drama category. Ji Sung's SBS series scored a brand reputation level of 58,424,856 during the period Feb. 24 to March 25, according to data from the Korean Business Research Institute, as cited by Soompi. "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" came in at number two followed by the KBS drama "Chief Kim" with brand reputation scores of 42,519,937 and 25,530,812, respectively.

Apart from "Defendant," JTBC's "Strong Woman Do Bong" and "Chief Kim," other dramas that made it to the Top Ten of the brand reputation index included "First Love Again" at fourth place and the weekend KBS series "Father is Strange." At the bottom half of the said Top Ten list are "You're Too Much" at sixth place, "I'm Sorry Kang Nam Goo," the KBS drama "Perfect Drama," followed by family drama "The Shining Eun Soo" at ninth place and the MBC series "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People" at tenth place.

Meanwhile, "Defendant" and "Strong Woman Do Bong" are considered some of the highly-rated dramas in the said Asian country. Ji Sung's legal thriller ended its 18-episode run with impressive TV ratings of 28.3 percent across the South Korean nation and 29.7 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area. Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young's drama also registered peak nationwide viewership shares 9.668 percent, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by OSEN.

Moreover, "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" is also expected to reach the 10 percent viewership mark as the drama heads to its final three-week broadcast. Given the growing romance between Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik) and Bong Soon (Park Bo Young), as well as the latest developments in the stalker villain case, viewers can expect to see exciting scenes in upcoming episodes.
