‘Doom 4’ News: Multiplayer Closed Alpha Starts This Weekend As Beta Starts Next Year!
"Doom 4" news today states that the first multiplayer closed alpha of the game starts this weekend, according to Game Debate. Lucky players who got the code and made it into a match will play the closed alpha of the game.
Previously, it was reported that the closed alpha testers will play 6v6 team Deathmatch games. The games will be played on a map called Heatwave. The test will let a player try out two pieces of equipment and six weapons. A tester can also try out a pre-set loadout or a build the player created.
It seems the early peek at multiplayer will be stunning.
For those who were not fortunate to get the code, the game's publisher, Bethesda, has released a multiplayer gameplay trailer, according to sources.
The new "Doom 4" closed alpha testing time will start this Friday, Oct. 23 at 12:01 a.m. EDT. The tests will end on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 11:59 p.m. EDT., according to Gamespot.
The players can turn into a Revenant in the closed alpha test, according to PC Gamer. The lucky testers can also try out a "power weapon" which will be available in the form of the Gauss Cannon. This weapon will be able to see through walls. It is also the best weapon against the Revenants.
The Heatwave map is described as an "industrial-themed map". This map will also take place in narrow corridors, small chambers, and walkways. This will also be linked to an open area, according to sources.
Another "Doom 4" news update also states that the beta test will begin in 2016. The alpha test is a separate test from the beta. The beta version will be available for gamers who preordered "Wolfenstein: The New Order", according to sources. The full game will also launch in that year and it will be on PS4, Xbox One, and the PC.
