Park Hyung Sik, Park Bo Young Starrer ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ To Break JTBC’s Record With Strong Ratings
"Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" has established itself as the top-rated drama among its cable channel competitors. Recently, nationwide viewership ratings for Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young's JTBC series reached a higher level with its recent episode.
Given the growing love triangle between the JTBC drama's protagonists, "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" episode 6 posted nationwide TV ratings of 8.7 percent, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by OSEN. Aired on March 11, the said episode also reached viewership shares of 8.6 percent across the Seoul metropolitan area. Compared to "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" episode 4 that was released on March 3, the ratings for the drama's latest episode posted an increase of 0.4 percentage points across the South Korean nation.
The viewership shares for the JTBC series' episode 5 decreased to 7.1 percent and 8 percent across the nation and in Seoul's metropolitan areas, respectively. The slump in TV ratings can be attributed to the broadcast of former President Park Geun Hye's impeachment proceedings.
Meanwhile, "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" is expected to surpass JTBC's highest TV rating record. To-date, the said cable channel's top-rated drama is the 2012 series "Childless Comfort" that registered a viewership share of 9.2 percent. With more than eight episodes left in Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young's drama, the said production is on track to cross over the 9 percent mark in the coming weeks.
In other news, avid viewers of the JTBC drama can look forward to seeing romantic moments between Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young's characters, Min Hyuk and Bong Soon, respectively. A staff member from "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" told local reporters that the said two characters will grow closer in upcoming episodes, with the gaming CEO helping the Herculean young woman achieve her dream of using her powers to help other people, Sports Seoul quoted the staff member as saying.
