Lee Min Ho Donates $25 Million Won To Help People Access Clear Water On World Water Day
Famous South Korean Actor, Lee Min-ho donated whopping $25 million won for the people to provide them with clear water. On March 9, the Korean Committee for UNICEF announced that Lee Min Ho's donation platform PROMIZ donated 25 million won which is approximately 22,000 US dollar for the latest World Water Day on March 22. This is the second time that the organization donated to the good cause.
Lee Min-ho and Korean organization PROMIZ donated 138 sets of emergency packets to the Korean Committee for UNICEF. The emergency packets include 69 million water purifiers that enable 92,000 children around the world to drink clean water for one month. UNICEF's emergency packs are made up of relief products that are most needed by children who are in emergency situations such as war and natural disasters. Along with the water purifiers, the packs include 10,000 malnutrition treatments and 69,000 dehydration treatments.
The Korean actor Lee Min-ho was recognized for his good deeds. This is not the first time, the actor provided help to the Korean UNICEF community. In 2009, the even participated in UNICEF's Love Net Campaign by sending insecticide-treated mosquito nets to fight malaria. He even consistently contributed to donate 100 million won which is approximately 85,000 US dollars to the Korean community for UNICEF under his fan club name Minoz.
Not only this, he even helped Nepal by providing Nepal earthquake emergency aid. With massive, frequent and consistent aids, Lee Min-ho was also honored as the member of UNICEF Honors Club. Besides, the donation, the actor Lee Min-ho even stated, last year, Lee Min-ho and PROMIZ were able to provide clean water to thousands of children across the world through UNICEF. The actor even shared that they will continue to be interested in those who need help across the world. He will work hard so that the world can become a warm place for mankind.
