‘Goblin' Actor Lee Dong Wook's Marriage Offer From Former KARA Member Revealed
Lee Dong Wook's popularity continued to grow after he starred in the hit drama "Goblin." Recently, KARA alum Heo Youngji revealed that she became one of the actor's fans after seeing him in the said tvN series and even sent him a marriage proposal through a text message.
"Goblin" was one of the hit South Korean dramas of the year given its storyline and star-studded cast that included Lee Dong Wook. Many fans became interested in the said actor after seeing his adorable and heartbreaking performance in the said tvN fantasy drama. It appears that former KARA member Heo Youngji also became enamored of the "My Girl" star.
Heo Youngji revealed during a recent episode of the variety talk show "Happy Together 3," as cited by Koreaboo, that she initially treated Lee Dong Wook as a senior colleague and an acting mentor. However, she developed a crush on the actor after watching him on "Goblin."
The Kpop idol even admitted that she wanted to marry Lee Dong Wook and recounted a time when she sent him a text message. After conveying her intention to wait for him until he agrees to marry her, Heo Youngji shared that she received a reply from the actor. The "Goblin" star responded, "Let's talk next year when you're an adult and over 25 years old."
The KARA singer's story incited a round of teasing from the show's hosts who implied that the actor rejected her since she already reached adulthood. However, Heo Youngji jokingly argued that she has yet to reach the age limit that Lee Dong Wook indicated since she is only 24 years old.
It appears the Heo Youngji and Lee Dong Wook remained friends after the two celebrities starred in the 2015 reality TV show "Roommates" Season 2. The actor served as one of the older brothers in the program given the slew of young Kpop idols who joined the show such as Heo Youngji, GOT7's Jackson and more.
In other news, the "Goblin" actor is set to embark on an Asian fan meeting tour in the coming weeks. With a seven-country itinerary, Lee Dong Wook will jumpstart his special tour with a meet-and-greet event in Seoul on March 12, according to an announcement from the actor's agency, as cited by Korea Herald.
Lee Dong Wook will then visit Taiwan and Singapore in April, followed by fan events in Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand in May, as well as a Japan meet-and-greet in June. Details of the said fan meetings including potential additional events will be announced at a later date.
