Nintendo Switch can last for more than six hours, depending on the console's usage condition. The information was revealed by the Japanese gaming device maker.

The Nintendo Switch players are expected to get around three hours playing time for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," as announced by the company. That said, several Nintendo Switch consoles were recently put to test to prove this claim.

The game was played on Nintendo Switch by GameSpot Technology Editor Jimmy Thang with a full charge on the default brightness of the screen. Thang noted getting three hours and three minutes of battery life until the Nintendo Switch keeled over.

Reviews Editor Peter Brown, on the other hand, played the game on Nintendo Switch with a full charge and played in airplane mode on full brightness. Accordingly, Brown got two hours and 50 minutes from the console. Based on the outcome, the figures come comparatively close to the three-hour claim of Nintendo. It should be noted, though, that Brown clocked a 49 percent charge, following an hour in the dock, GameSpot reported.

Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch buyers at the launch who do not have a pre-order yet may unlikely have the chance to grab one. However, they could still try and get some luck by standing in long lines when the console hits the physical stores following its March 3 launch.

Nintendo Switch retailers, unfortunately, will only get limited shipments for walk-in buyers. Based on reports, the best chance is to begin lining up at midnight. Moreover, those who want to take this opportunity are recommended to come to the midnight launch parties because those events will give them the best chance to get one of the extra Nintendo Switch consoles, Forbes reported.
