Star Wars 8 Director J.J. Abrams Hints Story Has More Drama? Details Here

The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams believes that Star Wars 8 or simply, The Last Jedi, might contain more dramatic scenes that any of the Star Wars episodes in the past. Abrams hinted some details about the much-anticipated movie which will be out in December. The article contains possible spoilers so read at your own risk.

The fans have been waiting for fresh updates since the studio dropped its official name. There have been many speculations as well as to who is the genuine last Jedi. But according to his recent interview, Mark Hamill will have more appearance in Star Wars 8 than the moviegoers thought.

So, will the film contain more emotional dialogue and scenarios? Abrams did not confirm nor deny the reports but he said that Hamill deserves an Oscar for his performance in Star Wars 8, notes Independent. Notably, Hamill will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker who has gone missing after he failed to mentor Ben Solo.

"I think we are all going to be very upset if he does not win an Oscar, and no one more upset than Mark," he said. "He is hysterically funny. He has done comedy. He is an amazing guy - he can do anything." However, he did not divulge much information about Hamill's significance in Star Wars 8.

The only confirmation about the movie is that Star Wars 8 will continue where The Force Awakens left off. For those who were not able to watch the recent episode, Rey found Luke Skywalker after he isolated himself. He was training Ben Solo, who was lured to the dark side and then became the new villain, Kylo Ren.

Though the official plot is yet to come, Making Star Wars leaked some details of the possible synopsis for Star Wars 8. The unofficial synopsis reads: "For Snoke, the loss of the Starkiller Base was as significant as his wins. His forces are no longer a secret to the galaxy at large. Those who used to laugh at the idea that The First Order were a threat are either dead or no longer laughing."
