South Korean actors Park Bo Gum and Song Joong Ki made an impressive debut on Forbes Korea's Top 40 "Power Celebrities" chart. The "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" actor and the "Descendants of the Sun" star nabbed the first and second spots on the said list, respectively.

Forbes Korea recently released its annual Top 40 "Power Celebrities" list where Park Bo Gum landed on the top of the chart, Soompi reported. This is the first time that the actor entered the list since he started his career in the South Korean entertainment industry.

Park Bo Gum's portrayal of the determined yet sweet prince in the KBS drama "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" helped to push the actor's popularity to a higher level. Apart from the actor, his good friend Song Joong Ki also debuted on the said list at second place.

The said actor's comeback drama "Descendants of the Sun" was a global hit given its star-studded cast that included Song Hye Kyo, as well as its captivating storyline. The KBS series was Song Joong Ki's first drama after he completed his mandatory military service. He even started filming activities for the said series shortly after his release from the army.

Other South Korean celebrities who made it to Forbes Korea's Top 40 "Power Celebrities" list included the Kpop groups TWICE at third place followed by EXO and BTS. Suzy and Song Joong Ki's former co-star Song Hye Kyo nabbed the sixth to seventh spots, respectively.

Park Bo Gum's "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" co-star Kim Yoo Jung landed at number eight, while "Oh My Ghostess" actor Jo Jung Suk came in at ninth place with athlete Oh Seung Hwan at number ten. Figure skater Kim Yuna and "Running Man" star Yoo Jae Suk, considered mainstays of the said Forbes Korea list, nabbed the 13th and 29th spots, respectively.

In other news, Park Bo Gum might soon appear on the big screen with veteran actor and Hollywood star Lee Byun Hun. The two celebrities are said to be looking at the upcoming historical film "Ansi Fortress: Fortress of Abandoned People" as their new project, All Kpop reported. However, neither of the two actors have yet to confirm their participation in the movie.

Park Bo Gum's drama "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" aired from August 2016 to mid-October 2016. Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki's "Descendants of the Sun" completed its 16-episode run in mid-April 2016.
