'The Curse of Oak Island' Season 5 Might Not Happen, Creator Expressed Doubts About Another Installment

"The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5 is still up in the air. There are mixed rumors on the future of the show despite the record-breaking viewership for the Season 4 finale. Despite having better viewership ratings compared to Season 3, the finale ended on a disappointing note and after such letdown, another installment is looking grim. This doesn't mean fans are not excited to know more about the secrets of the island as avid followers of the series are hoping to see the fifth installment soon.

The adventures of Rick and Marty Lagina to discover the secrets of the Oak Island in season 4 ended on a disappointing note as the two did not discover anything significant. After spending four to five months away from their loved ones, there is no denying that the brothers are upset too. The duo seems to have doubts about doing another season of "The Curse of the Oak Island." Given the increased viewership ratings, History might talk to the Lagina brothers to be on another season of the series.

Meanwhile, fans are anxious for another season of the unscripted series "The Curse of Oak Island." When Season 3 ended, there were talks of discontinuing the show but after receiving funds from Novia Scotia Business, filming resumed. Now, the showrunners are asking the same questions and they are not too optimistic about another installment.

I think you could do 10 years on this show and you could find lots of things and lots of treasure, and I would still not be convinced that's all there is to the story. I think Oak Island has many, many, many stories to tell." For now, there is no official word on the "The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5.
