"Final Fantasy 14" details have been announced during the "Final Fantasy" Fan Festival in Germany. Square Enix also made some revelations about the "Stormblood" expansion and the likely Nintendo Switch version of the game, including a PS4 Pro patch.

"Final Fantasy 14" is likely coming to a number of systems, but with limitations. According to game producer Naoki Yoshida, Square Enix would not want to develop a boxed off version that could not interact with the others. This could mean that a Switch port is likely to happen.

As for the "Final Fantasy 14" PS4 Pro patch, Yoshida announced that the game will utilize the extra horsepower of the console to enhance the game performance. Reports also suggest that the Pro patch is now being developed, with details to be revealed soon. Meantime, the PS4 Pro was released in November with several games having been patched to support the console.

"Final Fantasy 14's" Stormblood expansion, meanwhile, will be launched on June 20 for the PC and PS4, while a PS3 support is reported to end. Aside from the new areas and Samurais, Stormblood also includes another new class, dungeons, a residential area and raids among others, GameSpot reported.

"Final Fantasy 14" Stormblood expansion will bring Samurai as the next job class. The expansion that will be released in early summer, will feature Samurai at level 50 with no required starting class.

Meantime, "Final Fantasy 14" players on PS4 are expected to see their inventory capacity rise, while level cap increases to 70, as support for the game on PS3 is about to be discontinued. Other additions to the game will include the port city of Kugane and Yanxia, including Kojin, the race of skilled traders that dwell by the Ruby Sea, Polygon reported.
