Despite Lee's non-attendance, the "Heirs" star still sent the said fan a surprise gift. The South Korean actor had a huge flower arrangement delivered to the fan's wedding venue with a congratulatory message for the newly married couple.
The actor's special fan service caught the attention of many netizens who expressed admiration for Lee. Online comments included in the same report highlighted the fans' thoughts on how some celebrities do take the time to read the many emailed messages sent to them through their respective entertainment agencies.
In other news, Lee was recently identified as America's favorite South Korean actor. In a survey conducted by the Korea Creative Content Agency's U.S. branch, as cited by Soompi, the "Legend of the Blue Sea" star topped the list of favorite male celebrities.
Lee even bested "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" actor Lee Joon Gi who nabbed the second spot, while Lee Jong Suk landed at number three. Meanwhile, "Descendants of the Sun" star Song Joong Ki came in at number four, followed by "Healer" actor Ji Chang Wook.
