‘Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter’ Release Date Announced; Is This The Final Game?
"Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" has been announced along with a release date. Moreso, the latest one might be the last for the studio.
Frogwares has just announced the next "Sherlock Holmes" games and it will be sub-titled "The Devil's Daughter". This will be the eighth game of the franchise. The game will "push your abilities to the limit in a one-of-a-kind interactive experience," according to PC Gamer.
This new game can be played on the recent generation of consoles which are the PS4 and the Xbox One and also on the PC.
The game is said to be free-roaming with great action and investigative work, according to HardcoreGamer.
The visuals of "Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" will have visuals like the "Sherlock" of BBC and with the Victorian setting, according to Destructoid. This game is said to feature beautifully designed environments and great deduction mechanics.
The game is being published by Bigben Interactive, according to sources. In the past, it was Focus Home Interactive though. With the new game, the studio is planning to take the series into another direction. This will focus more on drama and action.
A player who has played the past game which was "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments" will have a new experience with this game since the cases will set place in an open world. "Crimes and Punishments" were on set areas only.
For the first time in his storied career, Sherlock Holmes' ruthless logic is overwhelmed by family stories, irresistible emotions and an occult revenge," said game developer Frogwares.
The game mechanics will have different ranges like solving puzzles to fast paced action which needs your fast reflexes, according to Eurogamer.net.
"Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter" will be released in spring 2016. The studio has hinted that it may be the last "Sherlock Holmes" game to develop.
