Xbox One Wireless Adapter For PC Launched; Controller Only For Windows 10!
The wireless Xbox One controller adapter for PC has been released today by Microsoft. The controller can only be used by a computer with Windows 10 as an operating system.
Microsoft has announced in the past that the wireless controller of their recent generation console, Xbox One, can now be used for the PC. An adapter will be used to receive the signals from the wireless Xbox One controller.
Today, Microsoft has released that adapter to the market worldwide, according to The Verge. This will be a good alternative for the Micro USB cable support of the Xbox One controller for the PC.
The only problem with this adapter is it only works on Windows 10, according to PC Gamer. The Micro USB cable support also only supports Windows 10. PCs that have lower versions of the operating system cannot use the wireless controller.
In the US, the wireless Xbox One controller adapter for the PC will be available in stores with a price tag of $25, according to Endgadget. You can also purchase the adapter with the Xbox One controller bundled together for $80 which is $55 more.
A PC owner will only have to plug in the adapter into a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port of a Windows 10 PC, laptop, or tablet, according to Major Nelson on Xbox Wire. After that you can bind the adapter to the wireless controller to enjoy features that are present in the Xbox One console.
Another perk of the adapter is it can accommodate a maximum of eight controllers per unit. It can also have four wireless chat headsets or two wireless stereo headsets.
The wireless Xbox One Controller adapter for the PC is convenient for those who have a Windows 10 PC, laptop, and tablet. Those who do not like wires dangling around will definitely like this advantage, according to sources.
