Most gamers all around the world have been eyeing to have the popular NES Classic Edition but most of them failed to secure one when stock shortage happened. Now, new reports are claiming that new batches of the classic Nintendo console will be hitting game stores in the upcoming months.

Spoiler Scoop reported that stocks of NES Classic Edition will be launched very soon. According to Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo is aware of the high demand for the classic console.

Reggie Fils-Aime, who is a Nintendo U.S. exec, divulged that the company did not expect the huge demand for the NES Classic Edition console. He said the Japanese game developer has only targeted players aged 30 to 40 but, with its success, it seems like even the younger gamers are interested with the gaming system.

The problem now is, the company cannot produce more NES Classic Edition consoles despite its growing demand. Most gamers know that the gaming company has just released the Nintendo Switch.

Rumors are rife that Nintendo wants to focus on the newly-released Switch console before addressing the scare in NES Classic Edition stocks. Fortunately, Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed that more units of the surprisingly popular console will be launched in the months to come.

"What happened with NES Classic is that was a situation where the global demand was well in excess of anything we had anticipated, and that's what created shortages," Reggie Fils-Aime has said about NES Classic Edition. "The good news, at least for consumers in the Americas, is we're going to continue to make the NES Classic available."

Meanwhile, Daily Star has claimed that the shortage in NES Classic Edition stocks has significantly affected the company. Rumors have it that Nintendo was not able to gain much profit despite its popularity because of its limited number.

Though these reports could be true, no official statement from Nintendo regarding this issue has been released yet. Stay tuned to Korea Portal for more news and updates about the NES Classic Edition.
