'The Affair' Showtime's Golden Globe Winner Renewal For Season 4 Along With Shameless & Twin Peaks, Stars Dominic West & Ruth Wilson
"The Affair" Season 4 has been locked in by Showtime for its return to the small screen even before the airing of the season 3 finale on January 29, 2017. This is barely three weeks before the show's end but the Showtime boss David Nevins is taking advantage of the show's popularity in the Golden Globe Awards.
Starring Dominic West and Ruth Wilson, "The Affair" Season 4 is one of the Showtime's award-winning TV shows with Shameless and Twin Peaks that have been picked up by Showtime. It was reported by Deadline that the series garnered three awards for the earlier two seasons to include the Best Drama Series, Best Actress & Best Supporting Actress.
"The Affair" is a story about marital affairs of two couples that caused emotional and psychological burdens ending up in ruined marriages. According to TVLine, the series will be starting afresh for the coming season. It can be recalled that in Season 3, Jonathan Cake who is an alum of "Desperate Housewives" starred as the boss and love interest of Whitney (Julia Goldani Telles).

Going further backward to Season 3 of "The Affair" Season 4, Jonathan Cake played the role of Furkat who is a photographer in Brooklyn. Meanwhile, Helen Solloway (Maura Tierney), who is having a boyfriend Vik (Omar Metwally) is filled with guilt and is not at peace with her situation.
"The Affair" Season 4 will continue to tell the story of Noah Solloway (Dominic West) and Alison Lockhart's (Ruth Wilson) extra-marital relationship that started in a meeting at New York. Noah is a happily married man to Helen with four children. Meanwhile, Alison is a young waitress who is also married to Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson).
