Thunder Prefers To Stare At Kim Soo Hyun’s Pretty Face
Thunder revealed he's a bowling enthusiast just like actor Kim Soo Hyun but would rather stare at the actor's pretty face rather than play with him.
The 26-year-old singer who quit MBLAQ a couple of years ago is back as a solo artist. He guested on Monday's broadcast of SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show" where he happened to talk about top Hallyu actor Kim Soo Hyun.
Thunder surprised everyone when he revealed he can score almost 190 on bowling so the DJs asked him why he didn't try for the Korean Professional Bowlers Association just like what Kim Soo Hyun and fellow singer F.T. Island's Lee Hongki did in October.
Both Kim Soo Hyun and Hongki failed to make the cut as they fell short of the needed 200 points.
"I did see them playing at the same bowling alley but a different lane, but I'm not at their level," said Thunder, according to allkpop.
He added to the DJs' laughter, "They have faces even men would be curious about, so I went to observe their faces more than their skills."
A listener also asked Thunder about his older sister Dara, whose YG girl group 2NE1 just disbanded last month.
"She's doing really well. She has a lot of promotions overseas," said Dara's youngest sibling.
Dara is one of the guest judges for a Philippine reality singing competition show "Pinoy Boyband Superstar." She flies back and forth from the Philippines to South Korea as she helps out her brother.
Thunder admitted he enjoys it but felt awkward and nervous going back on stage as a solo artist.
"I can't say there was nothing awkward [about promoting alone for the first time]. Although I debuted seven years ago and promoted in MBLAQ, there were many awkward aspects about doing it alone," the singer told "Cultwo Show."
