BIGBANG leader G-Dragon recently made headlines by showing public support for rising K-pop star Ani from the rookie co-ed group ALLDAY PROJECT. The veteran artist left an encouraging comment on Ani's Instagram post, writing "후배님, 열심히 하세요" (Work hard, junior), sparking excitement among fans.

Ani posted photos from her appearance on Mnet's "M Countdown in Boryeong," showcasing behind-the-scenes shots in a bold styling consisting of a black off-shoulder top, red pants, and white boots. The post quickly gained attention when G-Dragon not only liked it but also left his supportive message.

Fans reacted enthusiastically to the interaction, with comments like "GD?!", "Amazing!", and "Such a kind senior," praising the BIGBANG leader's thoughtful gesture toward the junior artist.

This isn't G-Dragon's first show of support for Ani. In June, he shared ALLDAY PROJECT's debut music video for "Famous" on his social media, publicly celebrating their debut. The two have maintained a friendship since childhood, having attended concerts together over the years.

The support appears particularly meaningful given Ani's long-standing admiration for G-Dragon's work. During a recent appearance on web variety show "Salon Drip 2," Ani revealed she's been listening to 2NE1 and BIGBANG's music since childhood.

ALLDAY PROJECT is a five-member co-ed group under The Black Label that debuted on June 23, 2025, with their single album "Famous". The group consists of Annie (Ani), Tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo.

Just 10 days after their official debut, the group achieved their first music show win on Mnet's "M Countdown", demonstrating remarkable early success for a rookie group.

Ani (real name Moon Seoyoon) is notably the granddaughter of Lee Myung-hee, chairwoman of Shinsegae Group, and daughter of Chung Yoo-kyung, president of Shinsegae. Despite her privileged background, she scored 1530 out of 1600 on the SAT and gained admission to Columbia University before pursuing her idol dreams.

She underwent approximately seven years of training at The Black Label, initially practicing remotely while attending school in the United States and visiting Korea during vacation periods.

G-Dragon's public support reflects the respect established artists have for dedicated newcomers, regardless of their background. The BIGBANG leader recently made his own successful comeback after a seven-year hiatus, releasing "Power" in October 2024 and his third studio album "Übermensch" in February 2025.

The interaction between the K-pop veteran and rising star highlights the supportive culture within the Korean music industry, where senior artists often mentor and encourage the next generation of performers.
