New Highly-Anticipated K-Dramas Opening This November

For fans of South Korean drama series, fondly referred to as K-dramas, the fun never stops as new highly-anticipated drama series are coming this November.

The three major broadcasting channels in South Korea have already casted their individual bets, fighting for who will reign over the ratings in the final months of this year. While there are many shows that come and go, the shows in the highly coveted time slot of Wednesdays to Thursdays, 22:00 (KST), are given the most preparation and promotion.

Now, fans can choose over the following which will simultaneously air on Nov. 16 on their respective channels.

MBC - "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo"

"Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" is a coming-of-age sports drama, inspired by the life of Olympic gold-medalist Jang Mi-ran. Starring Lee Sung Kyung as the titular character Kim Bok Joo, this marks the actress' first leading role in the small screen. She will be reunited with actor Nam Joo Hyuk, her fellow cast in the drama "Cheese in the Trap." Joo Hyuk will portray the character of Jung Joon Hyung, a talented swimmer and Sung Kyung's best friend turned love interest.

The drama will air starting Nov. 16 to Jan. 5, 2017.

SBS - "The Legend of the Blue Sea"

 "The Legend of the Blue Sea" is a fantasy romance that follows the story of the last mermaid on Earth named Sim Cheong, to be portrayed by actress Jun Ji Hyun. As she goes into the unfamiliar land of humans in the 21st century, she meets genius swindler Heo Joon Jae, played by actor Lee Min Ho, who was the reincarnation of nobleman Kim Dam Ryung from the Joseon Dynasty. As Sim Cheong goes on land, she will try to adapt and survive through modern-day Seoul with the help of Joon Jae.

The drama will air starting Nov. 16 to Jan. 19, 2017.

KBS 2 - "Oh My Geum Bi"

"Oh My Geum Bi" is a drama about a father who takes care of an eight year old girl who has child Alzheimer's.

8-years-old Mo Geum Bi, portrayed by Heo Jun Eun, starts losing her memories. Her father, Mo Hwe Chul, played by actor Oh Ji Ho, is a swindler, but through his daughter he starts to learn the importance in life. Meanwhile, Go Gang Hee, portrayed by Park Jin Hee, also gets entangled in the father and daughter's life as she later finds herself learning from Geum Bi.

The drama will air starting Nov. 16 to Jan. 5, 2017.

BONUS: TVN - "Entourage"

The channel is by far the most popular Cable TV Network that provides renowned K-drama series over the years.

"Entourage" is TVN's own bet in the K-drama field, while mostly betting on international ratings than local. The drama is a remake of the U.S. drama series with the same title that aired on HBO from 2004-2011. TVN bought the publication rights in 2015.

It's a black comedy that talks about celebrities and the entertainment world. The story will follow the story of Cha Young Bin (Seo Kang Joon) is a rising actor in South Korea. He have 3 best friends, Lee Ho Jin (Park Jung Min), Cha Joon (Lee Kwang Soo) and Geobook (Lee Dong Hwi). Meanwhile, Kim Eun Gab (Jo Jin Woong) is the CEO of the management company where Young Bin Belong to.

The drama will air starting Nov. 4 to Dec. 24, 2016.
