‘Warhammer 40k Deathwatch’ Game Released; Steam And Mobile Prices Vary!
Another game has been released just recently on Steam and that is "Warhammer 40k: Deathwatch" game. The prices are different for the Steam and mobile version of the game.
"Warhammer" games have recently been launched a lot lately, according to PCGamesN. This time it is a turn-based strategy type game titled "Warhammer 40k: Deathwatch". The game is all about where the Imperium's Space Marines will be fighting off swarms of alien Tyranids.
"Deathwatch" is based on a mobile game, but now it has been graphically modified and enhanced. The engine used to enhance the game is Unreal Engine 4. The game now has dynamic lighting, other visual upgrades, fully re-designed, intuitive UI, and controls are customizable for the mouse and keyboard, according to PCGamer.
The PC version of "Warhammer 40k: Deathwatch" game will include new marines, units from the Dark Angels, Imperial Fists, and Black Templar chapters. The game was supposed to arrive on Oct. 20 but it was launched on an earlier date.
The pricing of the game on the different platforms is different though. The PC version of the game is £18.99 while the iOS version is £2.29.
"The biggest reason for the price-tag is the lack of in-app purchases and where we wanted to price the original iOS game," says UK developer Rodeo co-founder Ben Murch in an email reply from Eurogamer.net. It's such a crazy marketplace at the moment on the App Store.
"People think that £3.99 for a 14-hour high-end game experience is too costly," Murch further adds. "Everything is expected to be free with the [attitude of], 'Well if I want to give you money, I might... but probably won't.' Frankly, it's not great."
Murch explains further for the PC version. "On PC, all that's been taken out, so players get the experience we originally intended... which we believe is worth the £18.99 price tag."
"Warhammer 40k: Deathwatch" game is available on Steam with a launch discount of 10%.
