US Aircraft Carrier Partakes in South Korea Drills in mid-October

The US Aircraft carrier will partake in the South Korean drills which will be held in the mid-October.

According to a military official, the United States plans to put a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to South Korea in October. It aims to show force and pressure to North Korea due to its successful nuclear test conducted recently.

The officials said that the Japan-based Carrier Strike Group Five from the U.S. Navy, and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) with flagship of the Yokosuka, will sail Yellow and South Seas of South Korea to join the naval exercise from Oct. 10-15.

"The USS Ronald Reagan will take part in the combined maritime exercise between the U.S. and South Korean militaries to be carried out in the western and southern seas," the official said.

The drill will focus mainly on the training of allies' naval forces on the joint attacks from North Korea's military facilities. Moreover, the USS Ronald Reagan is part of a deterrence asset and powered by two nuclear reactors in order to counter military threats from North Korea.

The United States is planning to deploy strategic military assets to South Korea which includes B-2 stealth nuclear bomber in order to show military might against North Korea.

"Both countries' militaries will further improve their capabilities to destroy North Korea's core military facilities in the event of an emergency as the fifth nuclear test made North Korean nuclear threats a reality," said by the military official.

According to some sources, the US will deploy a strategic bomber to South Korea on Monday which is called B-2.The upcoming missile deployment will serve as a military warning from the US against North Korea.

"The deployment of a strategic bomber on the Korean Peninsula alone mounts a considerable level of pressure on North Korea," a military official said.
