UN condemns North Korea's missile firing.

The United Nations Security Council expressed its strong condemnation of North Korea's ballistic missile launch.

The council emphasized that NK violated its international obligations and acted as threat to other nations. UN affirms that significant measures to be acted if NK refuses to halt tests on missiles and nuclear, Reuters reported.

The council called for an emergency closed-door to discuss the violation of North Korea which caused missiles to land close to Japan.

The Guardian reported that the council regarded the launch as "in flagrant disregard." Three nations including South Korea, Japan and the United States already expressed their support to the council to iron out sanctions against NK.

Ballistic missiles were launched concurrent with the G20 economic summit in China. US Ambassador for UN Samantha Power stressed that the firing is another evidence that the country does not take sanctions set by the council seriously. The ambassador said that the action showed NK's "willingness to provoke and to threaten the international community with immunity."

North Korea account for 22 missiles fired this year. The three missiles recently launched dropped 250 kilometers of Japan's coast.

Japanese ambassador to UN Koro Bessho received encouraged from the united council. She said that all members strongly "condemned the launches in very strong terms" and that sanctions should be thrown "in unanimity, in unity in bringing about change in North Korea's behaviour."

On the other hand, Deputy Ambassador of South Korea to the UN Hahn Choong Hee asked for international communities cooperation to deliver a message to NK that violations shall be addressed with counter-measures. Hahn revealed that Pyongyang spends considerable amount of resources to create mass destruction weapons whilst citizens live poorly.

China remains as the only major ally of NK. Liu Jieyi, China's UN Ambassador said that "the council will work on a press statement."
