Lee Min-ho Appears In Canned Coffee, Georgia Gotica, TV Commercial
South Korean actor, Lee Min-ho, has been selected to promote and be a model for Coca-Cola's advertisement of canned coffee brand Georgia Gotica on Thursday.
"Georgia Gotica has a deep and rich coffee scent, and Lee whose acting career stretches 10 years resembles this image. We're going to publicize the attractiveness of Georgia Gotica through Lee, who is beloved for his many charms", the Atlanta-based firm said through a local PR agency.
Georgia Gotica is the name of a popular coffee brand drinks sold by the Coca-Cola Company. The brand name is derived from the Coca-Cola's home state, which is Georgia. In 1975, it was launched by Coca-Cola Subsidiary Company in Japan. After years of hard work, it has expanded to markets in South Korea, Singapore, Bahrain, India, and the United States of America. Georgia greatly became a success in Japan. It was recorded as the highest-grossing coffee beverage and the highest-grossing beverage by Coca-Cola (Japan) Company.
Lee Min-ho is a South Korean actor, model and singer. He rose to fame with his lead role in the popular Korean drama "Boys Over Flowers" as Gu Jun-pyo in 2009. He won Best New Actor award at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. He also starred in the drama City Hunter (2011) where he was nominated for Most Popular Actor at the 48th Baeksang Arts Awards. The Heirs (2013) gave him another nomination for Most Popular Actor at the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards. Moreover, he is known for his leading roles in the TV dramas Personal Taste (2010) and Faith (2012).
The 29-year old actor catapulted to stardom with his different roles in variety of Korean dramas. Most recently, he appeared in the Korean drama "Bounty Hunters," which is a South Korea-Chinese co-produced action film that opened on July 1. Lee is set to appear in SBS TV series entitled "Legend of the Blue Sea" together with Jun Ji-hyun, the "My Love from the Star" heroine, who also has a large following in China in the month of November
Furthermore, Lee is expected to appear in the TV commercial for the coffee brand starting next month.
