The Subway Guy Jared Fogle Shifts Blame To Victim’s Parents, Sues Them From Jail

Jared Fogle sues victim's parents and blames them for her showing up in child pornography materials.

Jared Fogler, who some people might remember as The Subway Guy, recently filed a lawsuit in which he names the parents of one of his victims, who filed her own lawsuit against Fogle earlier this year, as either partially or fully to blame for her "destructive behaviors."

ABC reported that Fogle's motion filed Thursday, Sept. 1 in the United States District Court of Indianapolis. Fogle's suit states that the parents of the girl who ended up as one of Fogle's victims in possession of child pornography were the ones responsible for her ending up in the situation that caused her nude picture to be taken.

It was last year that Fogle was sentenced to 15 and eight months in federal prison, with a minimum of 13 years with no possibility of parole. Fogle's crimes were for possession of child pornography as well as crossing state lines in order to pay for sex with minors.

In March of this year, a lawsuit was filed by one of the victims who was apparently unaware that she showed up in some of the pornographic content that Fogle was possessing. Reports indicate that either the victim, a "jane Doe, or her parents filed the lawsuit after she ended up becoming severely troubled after becoming aware of her involvement. Other than Fogle, the suit also named his ex-employee Russell Taylor and his wife, who is also serving time for similar crimes, and is asking for at least $300, 000 in damages.

Now, Fogle has decided to turn the blame onto the parents of Jane Doe, arguing that it was their actions that led to their daughter's emotional distress. Fogle's suit argues that the girl ended up in her unfortunate circumstances because the parents not only divorced, but also abused alcohol in front of her and their "hateful and abusive relationship toward each other" eventually led to her distress.

"Custody and parenting time (agreements) required Jane Doe to constantly rotate her living arrangements caused unnecessary stress, anxiety, and trauma for Jane Doe," said the statement.

The troubles that Jane Does Parents imposed on their daughter apparently "included, but was not limited to, engaging in frequent fighting and arguing between themselves; abusing alcohol and getting drunk; and engaging in frequent fighting, physical abuse, and arguing with Jane Doe."

The above eventually combined and caused Jane Doe "to suffer from emotional distress, anxiety, and major depression," which all took place "before she learned of any allegations."
