PS4 VS Xbox One On 'Star Wars Battlefront' Beta: Which Console Was Deemed Better?
The battle for the PS4 VS Xbox One "Star Wars: Battlefront" Beta tests has finally been decided. The ongoing battle has revealed that the PS4 version is much better than the Xbox One.
In an update today from the Battlefront Twitter account, it has been revealed that the multiplayer test for the "Star Wars: Battlefront" Beta has finally come to a close by 4 pm, UK time, according to Express. It also states that there have been 9 million players logged on and played the beta of the game.
DICE also confirms that this beta test has been the largest in EA history.
The battle for console supremacy between Xbox One against PS4 has gotten a result after some performance tests both for the developers and the gaming community. It seems the PS4 has won this round for the PS4 VS Xbox One "Star Wars: Battlefront" Beta.
Digital Foundry, a section of Eurogamer, has tested out the "Star Wars: Battlefront" beta test on both Xbox One and PS4 game consoles. It turns out that the beta on the PS4 runs at glorious 900 pixels, while Xbox One only runs at 720 pixels, states a report by iDigitalTimes.
"'Battlefront' on Xbox One is fixed at 720p, meaning that it runs at 64 per cent of the PS4's overall pixel count," says Digital Foundry. "From an image quality perspective, the compromises are just as you'd expect; we see more aliased edges, and a higher level of shimmering on fine distant detail - particularly on Tatooine's flag-lines.
Added to that, there's a softening to the picture as a whole - a result of a more drastic upscale, combined with a similar grade of post-process anti-aliasing to PS4."
Well, all is not lost for the Xbox One user. The differences between the two only end there. The other parameters like texture quality, motion blur, and other features look great on both consoles. Both even get 60 frames per second, according to Gaming Bolt.
