'Might And Magic Heroes VII' CE Purchases Empty? Missing CD's Refunded By Ubisoft!
It turns out some Might and Magic Heroes VII Collector's Edition purchases have no discs inside them particularly the game and audio discs. Ubisoft has been quick to apologize to the gaming community right away and has offered refunds for those affected.
It seems Ubisoft has upset the gaming community again, particularly in the US, as somewhere, somehow during shipping some of the Collector's Edition of Might and Magic Heroes VII did not have the game and audio discs. There were only a few of the edition owners complained on the Ubisoft message boards, but then others posted as well, according to Kotaku.
Reddit posters are now already up to arms as they are now accusing Ubisoft of misleading and using deceptive marketing for the game. The cost of the collector's edition is about $100 and without the physical discs, it would be unfair to them, states a report from IGN.
The physical edition of the game is actually available, but the ones that surely have it are in the European stores. It also seems that the ads that have been seen by the US gaming community from time to time were changed at some point. The ads still include the box but, it now has the words marked on top of the image, "PC Download", according to PC Gamer.
"Ubisoft regrets any confusion created by the marketing materials from our Might and Magic Heroes VII Collector's Edition," says Ubisoft in their official statement on the problem. "We understand that some customers in North America were not aware the Collector's Edition delivered digital versions of the game and soundtrack. Ubisoft apologizes for any frustration and disappointment resulting from these items being in digital format vs. physical format."
Ubisoft is now offering refunds to customers who felt wronged by their purchases. The refund will be in the form of a digital game of their choice which are "Assassin's Creed Rogue", "Toy Soldiers: War Chest Hall of Fame Edition", "The Crew", "Far Cry 4", and "Zombi".
