Rachel Bilson Opens Up About Hayden Christensen And Daughter; How Does She Balance Work And Family?
Following the cancellation of "Hart of Dixie" and giving birth to her daughter, Briar Rose, it has been a while since Rachel Bilson was seen in public, all the more talk about her family.
However, in an interview with People Style Watch, the "Hart of Dixie" star shared gladly opened up about her daughter with long-time partner Hayden Christensen.
"Being a mom and having a kid, that's one of the most important things right now," Bilson said.
Rachel Bilson's first red carpet appearance after giving birth was during the No Kid Hungry Benefit Dinner in Los Angeles.
In her appearance, she also opened up about getting back in the limelight after focusing on being a mother to Briar Rose first.
"It's like learning how to talk again and walk again," she said about getting out in public again. "When people ask me questions it's like 'I don't know how to talk to you', so I'm being reintroduced to this world."
And while she very much enjoys spending time with her daughter she did share that she's also excited glamming up.
"It's fun to get ready and stuff and it's funny to see her watch me get ready at home," Bilson shared. "She's like, 'What are you doing to my mom? What is that? Makeup? What?'"
And while she's probably at the best of her life right now, Rachel Bilson did share that not everything is perfect in her life, being a first time mother is indeed challenging and the support of Hayden Christensen is what keeps her going.
She proudly shared how the "Star Wars" actor compliments her telling her "what a great mother I am."
And while she would want to spend more time with Briar Rose, she also decided to go back to work already.
"Rachel Bilson was back at work filming on Wednesday and made sure to bring along her breast pump to set," Daily Mail reported. "The 34-year-old actress shared a silly snap on Instagram as she got ready to shoot a new project and held up the plastic contraption for fans to see."
