Ellen Pompeo Moves On With Another Man As Patrick Dempsey Is Set To Renew Vows With Wife?
While some fans continue to hope that Patrick Dempsey will be reunited with Ellen Pompeo in "Grey's Anatomy" season 12, at least via a flashback or through her dreams, recent reports have hinted that the actress, who portrays the lead character Dr. Meredith Grey, has completely moved on already.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the 46-year-old actress revealed that her character will be back in the dating game again several months after the death of the 50-year-old actor's Dr. Derek Shepherd last year.
It can be noted that the "Grey's Anatomy" stars, Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo, used to play husband and wife in the ABC medical drama series prior to the car crash that took the life of McDreamy during season 11's episode 21.
With Dr. Grey having been a widow for quite a while now, she is already prepared to entertain a new guy in her life.
"So, after the attack, she goes into therapy, which is an idea that Shonda and I discussed," she told the outlet." And then in therapy, she starts exploring what it means to be alone, and [how] she's never alone, and how alone does she want to be? Everyone else thinks it's time for Meredith to move on and start dating again."
"And so Meredith has to explore that opportunity of, 'OK, what does dating again look like, and how do you do that?'" Ellen Pompeo continued about finding a love life after Patrick Dempsey's death in the TV show.
To make fans even more excited about this spoiler, she dished that she has already "shot a few scenes, although I don't know where they're going to go, but I have shot a few scenes, and I'm very happy and excited with the way this is unfolding."
In the meantime, Radar Online reported that Patrick Dempsey has asked his wife Jillian Fink to renew their marriage vows.
"It's incredibly exciting for all their friends and family, but Jillian wouldn't never have accepted unless he agreed to slow down on his motorsports racing," an insider reportedly shared.
