Taron Egerton Star Struck With Mark Ruffalo At BAFTA's; Reveals 'Kingsman 2' Villain
"Kingsman 2" star Taron Egerton gets starstruck with Mark Ruffalo at the BAFTA's in London.
Egerton, who was nominated for the Rising Star award, was left star struck after the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" actor brushed past him while he was being interviewed by Hey U Guys outside the Royal Opera House over the weekend.
"That's Mark Ruffalo just casual," the 26-year-old actor said. "That's just Mark Ruffalo. Me and Mark we go way back."
Ruffalo's wife Sunrise Coigney saw the actor flustered and jokingly said, "He's actually our son."
The "Eddie The Eagle" actor lost track of the interview.
"What did you ask me?" He asked. "I'm all in a tizz."
He was up against Brie Larson, Dakota Johnson, Bel Powley and John Boyega for the Rising Star award which went to the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star.
"People always say humbling but I actually think it's quite inflating being nominated for an award," the actor said. "It's wonderful it's a great feeling. I'm a huge fan of all the other actors I'm nominated with. I've never been here before it's overwhelming."
Taron is set to reprise his breakout spy role in "Kingsman 2," which the actor teases will have a new villain that will rival Samuel L. Jackson's character in the original film.
"We have a villain to rival Samuel L. Jackson - this new one is so brilliantly written I wish I could play it," Egerton toldCollider. "It's amazing."
Furthermore, Taron Egerton shared details on the sequel's production date.
"With 'Kingsman,' we're shooting in the summer at present," he spilled. "There's a script, it's brilliant. Obviously, there's only so much I can say but what I can say is that we shot [the first] one all in the U.K., that won't be the case with the next one."
Taron Egerton will reprise the role of Eggsy in "Kingsman 2" on June 16, 2017.
